Are We Really Screwed Up?

I don't like what I see on the news. The mortgage crisis, stock market fall, consumer debt - nothing positive out there. And here we are again - a credit card crisis.
The experts advice to apply for credit cards today before the banks raise the fees. I am not sure this is a good idea. With the situation on the job market I am not sure that I will have a steady income in the next half a year. I don't want to get trapped with late payment fees and high interest rates.
On the other hand, we are not going to have another Great Depression, are we? So why get upset about the things that might not ever happen.

Will Rock Music Ever Belong to Elite Culture?

I hear a lot of talking about elite culture and mass culture. What is mass (popualr) culture? Or, to be more precise, what is popualr art? And what is elite art?
Let's take a look at jazz. First it was played on the streets by poor black guys and now it is prestigious to attend jazz concerts. Jazz music is academic. It is studied and taught in special institutions. The elite of this country listens wither to Mozart or to jazz.
Why jazz? Why not rock music, for example. Will we ever consider rock music elite?
I have a feeling that the answer is no.

Ok. This Is My Last Try.

Ok. I'm gonna try this again. I'm gonna start writing on my blog. It's much harder than I thought it would be. May be because I am not organized...
That's it. I am not organized. I can not make a plan and stick to it. When I went to high school I could never turn in the assignment on time. My boss always says that I am unreliable. Oh well.
I've tried making written plans for the day but that never worked. May be it is some kind of a illness. Not a lethal one but serious enough to screw up one's life...

Credit Life

Sometimes I think about my future. Especially about my finance future. So, what should I do now...? Waste my time for youth or work for old age?

Probably I'm not the only one who cares about it, but anyway... It's seems to be my moral problemin the nearest future.

My First Money

It's time to talk about my guitars and my first money.

I like to play music... a lot. My parents are not so rich, so I should work to collect money for musical instruments. You know, when you are just beginning to play guitar (in my case) you don’t even know what instrument you want.

My first guitar was Chinese “Encore” Strat. Not so bad for the beginning at last)). It cost about one hundred bucks. It was my first money. I earned it working as a babysitter. It was really hard, cause I was about 14 years old. At that time my Mom said to me: “If you want to buy something – go and earn your own money”. So I did.

Of course, it was just my first guitar and after some years I understood that I was wanted more…

My second guitar was Greg Bennett IC-20 (On pic.). It was brand new Rock Guitar (Ibanez copy). It cost about 200 bucks... That time I saved some money to buy it. Of course I bought an amplifier too for my home practice.

Now I have my Gibson Les Paul Special 1990 (issued in 1992_On pic. but black). In my opinion it’s a perfect guitar for rock music. I spent about 800 bucks on it. I worked for Wal Mart for 3 month to buy it.
